Since publishing our first story, YouTuber and Reddit consumer'KokushiGG' has posted a brand new video showing off Ray Traced Shadows from the new zones in the expansion WOW TBC Classic Gold. You'll find the video down below. Like yesterday's screenshots, we can see the difference in Shadows is rather minimal with the newest feature enabled. Enabling Ray Traced Shadows, however, does seem to greatly impact performance with FPS dropping from 120FPS to 60FPS in some instances.

Ray Traced Shadows within World of Warcraft Shadowlands have now been enabled on the game's Beta/PTR, and the first comparison shots have surfaced online.

Back in April of the year, Blizzard additional Ray Traced Shadow alternatives to the game's Alpha. Unfortunately, real Ray Traced Shadows were not allowed just yet and people from the Alpha were only able to view the new choices. According to the alternative's description, it"improves shadow quality together with beam design, which produces shadows with much more natural softness, greatly improved precision, and out of additional light sources."

Fast forward four months and we could now finally see how the new shadows look in the upcoming Shadowlands expansion. Before this week we reported the new NVIDIA Game Ready Driver additional support for the looming new feature in Shadowlands, and several Beta/PTR players have currently shared several screenshots comparing Shadowlands with and with no Ray Traced Shadows enabled.

As shared by Blizzard, the new option within Shadowlands uses DirectX Ray Tracing 1.1 (DXR 1.1) along with a DXR 1.1-capable motorist is required to use Ray Traced Shadows.We've included the common contrast screenshots down below buy WOW Burning Crusade Classic Gold. As may be observed in these shots, and as might have been expected, the effects of Ray Traced Shadows are not that obvious but do appear to be more powerful in darker areas with low lighting.
